The next IFOAM Organic Leadership Course Southeast Asia will take place from September 2014 to May 2015. Applications are accepted now until 1 August 2014. The course format offers 150 hours of intensive training in a class of 20-25 participants. The first residential session will take place on 21 – 28 September 2014 on the Philippines. The second residential session will follow in April and May 2015 in Thailand. Ten online learning sessions will take place from September 2014 to May 2015. Focused on taking action, the OLC will help build:
Knowledge: Facts and the latest information about organic agriculture production, trade, policy and regulation. As the courses are organised on a regional level, this knowledge will be locally relevant with an international vision.
Skills: Sound management principles and know-how. The course is holistic and interactive, an ideal environment to develop one’s management tools and skills.
Attitude: A leader’s personality and bearing. By networking with peers, meeting with pioneers and market leaders, participants will gain the essential confidence and ability to present oneself as a leader in organic agriculture.
A tuition fee of €2,000 covers tuition, training materials, conference costs and refreshments during both sessions. Not included are accommodation and travel costs to and from the training venue. The application form as well as further information are available here.
