Weekly Vegetarian Lunch and Dinner plus Meat Free Monday

Due to the growing popularity of the Vegetarian Night Crayonhouse has decided to offer a vegetarian/vegan lunch and dinner buffet every Monday starting from January 2016.

In line with the global trend to reduce meat consumption for the sake of animal welfare and the environment as well as for health reasons, Crayonhouse will not sell meat on Mondays.

Thereby, Crayonhouse is joining the campaign launched by Paul McCartney and his family in 2009 with the aims to raise awareness of the detrimental environmental impact of eating meat, compassion for farmed and slaughtered animals and last but not least also for health reasons by having at least one meat free day each week.

Vegetables – especially in natural/organic quality – are delicious and can be prepared in many ways. At the Crayonhouse Organic Restaurant buffet you can enjoy are large variety of vegetarian dishes on Monday and also non-vegetarian food other days.

● Crayonhouse will be certified as “Organic Restaurant”.

In 1992 Crayonhouse opened restaurants and shops for natural/organic vegetables and other products in natural Osaka and Tokyo, long time before the Organic JAS certification was introduced in 2001. Since then we have offered organic dishes using organic ingredients. However, in Japan until recently there was no organic hotel or restaurant certification by a third-party authentication. Now this is possible, and “Japan Organic & Natural Foods Association (JONA)”, a major Japanese certifier, has started the certification process for our organic restaurant.
